When visiting Hargrove Premium Products working on another project I noticed this oversized refractory log laying on a pallet. It is 50 inches long and about 11 inches wide. The manufacture had cast it from an actual log but had not done anything else with the log. I pushed. It wasn’t long before I had a client with a fireplace that cried for this log as the base to the gas log set. That was the start. I have used in custom Mountain Aspen paint for a resort in New England. It has been “cut” down to just 30 inches long for some smaller but still massive fireplaces. The 1550 or just Kodiak Split makes a great base log for those fireplaces that need a massive set of gas logs.
