Tubes 4609 is a commissioned Fire Art© piece for an oversized residential fireplace. The fireplace is 4 feet square. The homeowner wanted a more modern look that filled the fireplace. The process started with a few concept sketches for the initial idea and a scale model. Working from the model the tube sculpture was fabricated as a single unit. This allows the tubes to sit on top of a burner system.
